I have been thinking a lot about the concept of “home” lately. How it’s not really a fixed point but something that shifts and reshapes itself as we do.
Abraham Verghese once wrote,’home is not where you are from, but it’s where you are wanted. And that resonates with me a lot. Because I’ve lived in many different places in the past five years and I still don’t think I have found my home yet.
My idea of home has always been tangled up in my sense of identity and right now,it feels abit unanchored. The truth is, I think I’ve always been a drifter, not physically but emotionally. Because no matter how tightly I try to hold onto people or places, they always seem to slip away. Sometimes by choice and sometimes by happenstance.
And yet, understanding that home is where you are wanted, has helped me see myself more clearly. It’s made me think less about finding a perfect place and more about finding people who are aligned with my purpose.
So who knows, maybe one day I will know exactly who or where my home is, but for now, I’m okay with not knowing.

Human emotions are unique
