Normal People
So recently, I just started watching this show called "Normal People". The show really dives into the intimacy of really complicated relationships and I don't know much yet, but one thing I really like about the show is the silence and the realistic conversations that I actually connected to. And it's funny cause half the time, they're just starring at each other. And you can honestly predict how they're feeling in every moment.
Connell and Marriane weren't meant to be this typical love story. They were meant to show the complications of opening up,of honesty,of not being able to explain ourselves in situations even though for some people, it's just so easy for them to let everything out.
Marianne kinda comes off at the beginning as this outcast and someone who prefers to do things by herself. But in reality, she just wanted to get away from home.
Connell was someone who just kept surrounding himself with people he felt disconnected to. The only thing on his mind was Marriane, regardless of how unhealthy the relationship was. And this reminded me of this other movie called Before Sunrise, there was a line that mentioned how most things we do for each other is to be loved a little bit more. And maybe it's true for everyone but it's most definitely true for me.
Have a great week ahead 💚

✍🏽 Quote of the week
Anyone can love a rose, but it takes alot to love a leaf. It's ordinary to love the beautiful, but it's beautiful to love the ordinary.
